So, one of my dream MK1's fell into place unexpectedly a month or so ago. Went and looked at it but it needed ALOT of work on the DS strut tower area in order to make it road worthy. I passed on it back in April but the kid contacted me at the beginning of August with a price tag I couldn't refuse.

Fast forward a few weeks and I talked with Matt and ended buying his Caddy to see if I could swap everything over into his but found out it was in worse shape then the one I had already. No big deal since his had a full interior and alot of other components I'm missing. To bad I can't use it as a donor for sheetmetal on the strut tower.

So now I'm back to square one. Basically have three options, buy a southern caddy, buy the whole DS strut tower area from MK1autohauz, or completely fabricate my own. I'll get some pics up later this week after I get my house project finished.

Not going to lie, I'm glad the forums are back up so I can track progress on this and everyone elses awesome builds!

I hope you can piece together something worthwhile. These caddys are getting harder and harder to find.

So do you have two Caddy's now? I could use some donor pieces if you have them.
I cut the front frame horns off a cabby back to where it meets the body for repair of mine some day. One of the previous owners did a crude repair, but it's liveable for now.
        Bad decisions make excellent stories.

Yep sure do. I'll send you a message for the pieces.
I have to do that to the tan one as I'm sure it'll start to go when I get it driving. So, I'll probably clean up that area and just weld the seams before they fail.
