  • Project '83 Jetta Coupe (ADHD stylez!)

Well... It's finally here. I've finally brought home a suitable host to receive the transplant power-train I picked up from Krojack a few months ago... Thanks to rich brennick, I'm the proud new owner of a surprisingly solid '83 Jetta Coupe.

It's now the 2nd Mk1 Jetta (currently) in my stable, and I'm really excited to finally have it and get started on a "real" project. If I can stay motivated through the winter months, and keep focused on cleaning it up and getting the transplant sorted out, I should end up w/ a pretty neat little "track/rally ready" car to put a smile on my face...

Hooked up and ready for the journey home...

It looks much better in person (trust me)...

If I follow through w/ all of my crazy schemes, this'll be holding more than just spare tires...

Wish me luck and stay tuned...

BTW. Big thanks to d bot and Vee6GTI00 for helping me start to strip it down...

Cool, looks like a good base. So what will be happening with the sedan?

I'm currently planning to get it back on the road soon. I'll probably drive it as a "low cost" commuter (as long as it's reliable) this winter (except on snowy/crap weather days), then decide what to do w/ it next spring.

Really? What can you tell me about it? It looks to me like it was originally a Diesel, was it NA or boosted?

It was a rare factory TD. I bought it in Plymouth, Indiana and drove it home.
                  I sold it to Rich.

Frackin' COOL! I definitely DIG!

One a more realistic note... Shouldn't we take care of the problems at hand first?
