Thanks guys, I'm trying to keep this a simple yet functional build. I hope I can!

the wilbers is mounted. I need to figure out some nice clamps for it, but this idea works. I think I'll flip it over though so you can see the adjustments on the reservoir.

I would tuck the res off the swing arm if it fits. I like the look of for instance the look of the adjustment knob above the right rearset. Keep he swing arm clean and empty. Use the two bolts that are already there and make a bracket.

Yeah, I'm worried that with that end being the end that moves, tying it to the frame may be an issue over time. I may be able to switch ends, but have to wait until I get the subframe welded up this weekend.

Thanks, my friend the welder was saying the same, can't believe how fast I've been going on it. I'm sure it will slow down soon, as I'll be getting to the part where I have to make it run!

Looks great. I think now that you have that seat pan/frame on you def need to do something with the tank. Maybe a BMW tank will have the volume you are looking for but the flat bottom that will look good. Typically they have nice shape too for knees.


I couldn't get an answer from anyone with a Virago on Craigslist so instead I went with Plan A which is what I wanted anyway. I bought a Ford E350 V10 Superduty to build a bug out van out of. Going to build me a Camper that is trail worthy so we can escape on the weekends with the dogs.
