I'm either going to rebuild my 2.0 I have or find a replacement.
This is the setup but it currently has a hole in one of the pistons from dropping a valve...

Looking good Paul. I'd offer up the rolly stand I built but it's got a car on it already

          Thanks Joe!

I'll try to make something similar or at least to rest the front end on something movable haha

i've been slacking really, kids, holidays, and had to fix my little garage heater.

i have plans to buy better lighting for the garage & I still need to buy a compressor and mig welder.

Too much gray goose over the holidays keeps progress away.

                              MK1 Caddy Project: Grey Goose

Time for some photos and a mini update...

I've been slacking on working on the truck with lack of motivation with the cold..
Got around to starting to wire wheel the inside of the fender arches and starting to find the rust...
Looking at the lower passenger rocker area..

Passenger side still... Looking at where the 3 panels come together and the extra support piece (this is the piece that causes so many rust issues on caddy's)

And inside the cab looking at the passenger firewall area

So I have a lot of work to do.. Drivers side is the same pretty much & same area. These areas just seemed to get bigger the more I picked at it.

In the air on weather I just patch what I can and "make it work" or go crazy and replace the front clip..

I picked up a Mig welder after a trip east.. Rich picked it up for me from a friend

Picked up a gas cylinder from Purity & some HF bits

                              The setup..

                              And a test weld

I'm all for learning whatever I can on this truck, just trying to figure out what direction I wanna go now.

                              "Edit
                              Motivation for me..

I'm afraid to start looking for rust in mine. I think mine is worse than yours.
