  • Another Enzo Ferrari Destroyed...

This one was a custom Targa, and a daily driver. The driver is expected to live. It amazes me that 4 or 5 Enzos have been destroyed in high speed accidents, yet noone has died in one. (I think).

At least this guy crashed his during a sanctioned event. AFAIK, it was the Silver State Classic where he crashed.

Fast Pass Road Rally... the section of road was closed so that the car owners could go as fast as they wanted.

Apparently he only has fractured bones. The car looks bad, but it was designed to desintigrate during a crash. Notice how the cockpit is perfectly intact.

Oh I see, you must have one in your garage, so you are happy that your car just upped in value. You sneaky sneaky boy.

Sure it's an "exotic" sports car and made to go "fast". What do you really expect, no one to crash them? Play with fire you are going to get burnt.
It's "good" because I like being the one with the "other" opinion. First is a friggin overly expensive car and now its a hunk of scrap. Awesome.

No, but there are only less than 300 in the entire world, and 5 have been destroyed already in high speed accidents. I think 4 have been in the US. Not that I really care or am amazed, but it does interest me. Epecially the fact that the drivers have survived and even WALKED AWAY from these accidents. Anything less (a 996 Turbo for example), and the driver probably wouldn't have survived. A fellow car enthusiast was injured... and that's good?

-True, but people are willing to pay that price, and even more. If you had a million dollars, it would be wise to purchase one and hang on to it for awhile. Especially since they are being crashed left and right, you could make alot of money.

                      Well whoop-dee-doo for you!

If a rare VW/Audi or whatever of your liking was destroyed, (and it was worth a substancial amount of money), and a friend of your was injured, would you be gald? Or would you share with others hoping that by seeing the crash your friends would be more careful on the road?

You think $975,000 is alot for a car? How about $6,000,000 for the rare Ferrari that was built from 1962-64. Less than 40 were produced.

He probably had it insured for upwards of 1.2 million.

399 were produced (well 400 but one is ferrari's own, and this does not include the fxx).

I also dont see any logic in your statement Dbot. So your telling me that if you were a multi-millionare you would buy just vw's and audi's? I think not.

edit2- there were 400 produced but one has been converted into a Pinninfarina 4/5, a similar but different beast.
