I'm keeping an eye on the forecast. We have new all-seasons on the Jetta and completely bald all-seasons on the Golf. The winter plan is to put the snows on the Jetta and move the Jetta wheels/tires over to the Golf. So far there has not been the snow to justify that. But if I get caught in a freak snowstorm in the Golf while it's wearing its current boots things will get really interesting really fast.

There's already been snow accumulation up north if that helps your guy's decisions.

I'll be posting a picture here a day or two after Christmas.

I was a bit low on funds, but needed to replace a couple bald tires on the VR6 before winter. At Weller Self Serve you can pull your own tires......any tire for $16.50/piece ($25 for tires that they have pulled). It didn't take me long to find basically brand new tires. They'll give you the tools to remove them and everything.

I've had mine on since chilli-fest. That's mainly because my winter wheels look cooler then my summers.

This past weekend, Put my daughters Snowies on her Beetle (as well as R&R rear axle beam bushings - I hate those things), put my wife's on, and put mine on - don't always get them on this early, but had a window of time, and knew my time would be consumed in the next few weeks here, so took advantage of that.
